  1. I have to admit I enjoyed the Lilo/Perez sparring more than i thought i was going to. Perez constantly updating his blog with judging room sayings from LiLo cracked me up.

    • I really did, too! She used to be funny, so it was a relief to see her goofing around and letting herself be teased. (The crossed out comment with the addition was pretty funny.) :D

  2. Finally someone who liked ND’s performances better than VA. Wherever I’d watch, everyone praised VA more than ND and said they didn’t deserve the win. And I agree with you, it’s a show choir performance, not solo with back up dancers (and it’s something that always annoyed me, people complaining how Rachel always gets a solo song despite ND being a group, yet everyone praises VA who has been doing the same since season 1).

    • Wait, what? I don’t know how you could come to the conclusion that VA was the superior vocal group. They didn’t have anything challenging, they didn’t sing anything with major changes in tempo, style, nada. So…yeah. Clear winners, given the scant performances we saw.

Ha, ALL VA did was have one singer and everyone revolving around them! I’m totally on your team, here.

  3. I am SO with you on liking the idea of the Wade/Unique storyline but Alex needing to be able to act a range of emotions and do more on stage than strut if he’s going to carry it off. Unique was awesome with “Boogie Shoes” but just looked kind of tired and bored to me at the Nationals performance. One note will/should not cut it on this show.

Also, I still dream of a New York spin-off with Kurt, Rachel, Finn, Blaine, and Jesse. DREAM. How awesome would that be, especially now that Jesse isn’t all-villain? I know, I know, no spin-off, but it would have been amazing. (Maybe next year if one of Ryan’s other shows gets cancelled?)

    • I feel like Wade isn’t quite comfortable enough in his own skin (ditto for Unique) to really let go. That’s an age, life experience thing on one hand, and possibly lack of natural talent on the other. Hopefully some coaching and positive reinforcement for being him/herself will help a lot.

Boogie Shoes was awesome. The other songs were going through the motions, and not much else.

I WOULD LOVE THAT SHOW SO MUCH. It would be redonk. (Throw Santana in the mix and we have perfection. I would love a Santana/Jessie show down of attitude.)

  4. I so love your recaps!

  5. Love your recaps! Just one quickie point (only because I also LOVE this band dearly & think everyone should download/buy their music A.S.A.P.): Grouplove is the band. Tongue Tied is the song.

    • Boy, am I red faced! Thanks for catching that – repaired! That’s what I get for trying to get two of these out back to back. ;D

And thank you very much! (And yes! Everyone SHOULD buy their music, they’re a great band.)

  6. I love your recaps. You find the good in every episode. OMG I loved both these episodes. They reminded me of why I love this show. I don’t know how I’m going to get through graduation next week. Not only that but how are they going to replace these personalitys.
I loved the scene when they were arguing. I have to point out that Artie is eating a $40 tin of popcorn. (It’s totally worth it).

    • Oh, I’m so happy to hear that you like that these are positive reviews/recaps! (If I ever stop liking the show, it will just not get talked about. HDJM is the embodiment of “can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.”) I just do not know how I’m going to deal, either. Well, we’ll all be here for each other.

And, isn’t that popcorn UH-MAH-ZING? Totally agree. ;)

  7. I must say I laughed a lot at the part with Finn and the cup he wanted to smash at the wedding.
Then I think I burst into tears of joy at the Klaine moment during dashboard. So cute.
