Hoarders Returns — Casting Call

We’re so excited that Hoarders is coming back to A&E. I’ve made no bones about how important I think the show is and how much good it’s actually done for people both on the show and the viewers.

Living just down the street from the now spotless former home of Poop Eating Shanna, this is good news for property values everywhere.

    • Let’s not forget that Shannon was seriously mentally ill, and was in dire need of help, which she got. And I’m also glad all of her neighbors had the Hoarders team come in. Hoarding affects far more than just the person with the disorder.

  • Amanda

I can’t wait for the new episodes/discussions here- this is one of the few places I’ve found that speaks of these circumstances with respect, kindness, and understanding.

    • Aww, thanks for that, Amanda! I’ve heard from so many people who didn’t know that there was a name for what their family member or loved one had until this show, or from family members of the people on the show who have had a positive outcome. That alone should show people how important this program is, you know? I’ve learned a lot about my own prejudices and how to do better, too. I just really respect Hoarders and all the people behind it. <3

Is it sad that I’ve been waiting for this show’s return? If nothing else, it really keeps my book hoarding to a minimum, and gets me moving to keep everything else clean as well.
